Lamnth INC!
plus season finale
Beloved friends and supporters,
We have exciting news to share!
Lamnth is officially a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization! We’re looking forward to growing as grant writers, taking bigger risks with our programming, and recording more music! We also want to introduce you to our spectacular board, who will help inspire us to dream bigger, guide us through all of our growing pains, and cheer us on when we’re tired of filling out paper work: Gabriela Diaz, Rachel Kaede Newsam, Meghan McNamara, Joshua Peckins, and Mischa Salkind-Pearl. Lilit is thrilled to take on the role of president of Lamnth INC, and Nick will serve as treasurer. Not only skilled with budgets, Nick also has the most beautifully organized folder for Lamnth’s documents that anybody has ever seen. Lilit is excited to help grow that folder into a large database over the coming years, while decorating the folder with cute stickers in the meantime.

We would love to celebrate this news with you in person at our season finale on April 28th at 8PM. This program will mark both the close of our third season as well as the completion of our year-long residency at Boston Conservatory. It also celebrates our collaboration with long-time friend and brilliant composer Bahar Royaee, presenting the world premiere of “I saw five pieces of driftwood in the water, each singing a memory of the ocean to me” an evening length piece we began workshopping together at our Avaloch Farm Music Institute residency in August 2024.

More information will be shared soon about Season 4 (it’s a really exciting one) and ways you can get involved, but in the meantime, we are happy to be able to accept donations starting today! In Lamnth’s three short years as a duo, 40 new pieces for violin and cimbalom have been commissioned. That number is growing exponentially, and we would love your help and support! We collaborate closely with each one of our commissioned composers, developing projects that feel authentic and exciting to all of us. Help us facilitate more unique and collaborative commissions! Any amount you give will go directly towards commissioning more original works in our upcoming season. More info at https://www.lamnth.com/support
